Soul Grub Shindig, inspired by the Holy Spirit to touch the spiritual element of humankind in providing food for the journey through festive gatherings in the name of Jesus Christ.
In 1995 a retreat ministry was born to serve our youth and those of our neighboring parishes. Through the "yes" given by a small group of adult volunteers, this ministry has remained faithful in service and dedication. Many adults have come and gone with their contributions providing a lasting effect on the program. Mainly, the "yes" of our past and present pastors and deacons have witnessed to the necessity and call of service and sacrifice to others in the name of Jesus.
In the summer of 2002, a name would be given to represent the ministry and foundation of this work. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit as we were led to seek growth and continued renewal in our commitment of service. Soul Grub Shindig said it all! Our retreat gatherings are spiritual, exciting and fun. We are quiet and we are loud. It is all for the greater glory of God!
