Description
Smith’s Cross Lake Inn represents seventy-seven years of restaurant experience – beginning with a small café in 1929 and including Smith’s downtown on Milam Street. Ethel and Glenn Smith purchased the current site July 3, 1954. After remodeling, they opened Thanksgiving Day of that same year. In 1965, a tornado resulted in extensive damage to the roof. The second floor dining areas were added during the reconstruction.
The “Tradition of Excellence” established by Ethel and Glen Smith has remained untarnished, as family members continue to be involved in the day to day operations of the restaurant. The family and staff welcome you, our guests, to help us celebrate over fifty-one years of excellent cuisine and service on Cross Lake.
