John Roberts grew up in the mountains of Idaho. With pioneering parents in the sport of river kayaking, as a kid John spent most of his summers on the river. Winter, was spent skiing - competing on the Sun Valley Ski Team. As a teenager John turned his love of rivers into a great summer job, and still guides one or two trips each summer.
John received his D.D.S. from The University of the Pacific in San Francisco. After getting his feet wet, John took an extended leave from the practice to trek in Nepal. While in Nepal, he worked in a primitive dental clinic in Namche Bazaar.
At the encouragement of his brother Matt (world renowned Dental ceramist and international lecturer, author, and teacher) John joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and started to focus his practice on aesthetic dentistry. In 1997 Dr. Roberts was invited to become a founding instructor for the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum (PAC Live) in San Francisco. At PAC Live he taught Doctors from all over the North America in a live-patient, hands-on environment – focusing on the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation.
