At the simplest level SiteTagger.com is a bookmark/favorite organizer. You can bookmark websites you find on the internet via a simple button/favlet/bookmarklet that you can add to your browser link bar. This button makes it as simple as a click to bookmark a website page that you are visiting. The true power comes from the tags.
Tags are single words, any word, real or made up, that you would identify with that website. You can add many tags, or even just one, doesn't matter. Because of the tags you assign to a bookmark you will be able to quickly find the bookmark you are looking for. The more tags you have, the more likely the bookmark will come up when you are looking for it. But, then again, you only want to add tags to a bookmark that are relevant to the bookmark, so that you dont get irrelevant results when you need to find bookmarks.
Often times when you want to bookmark a site, you put that bookmark into a folder. The problem is that one bookmark may have multiple folders that you would want to put it into. So what do you do? Pick the "best fit" or duplicate the bookmark into every folder that makes sense? Those solutions are not great. Tagging allows you to apply multiple tags to the bookmark, which means no relevant information is lost, and no duplication is needed. You decide on the tags. If they make sense to you great, who cares what other people might tag the bookmark with.
