Description
Born in Brooklyn, New York to Puerto Rican parents and having lived in Oklahoma for over 20 years (after also living in Massachusetts and Virginia), Lili Gómez-Michel has been an administrative assistant, school teacher, social worker and now a minister, not necessarily in that order and many times simultaneously. She accepted Christ in 1992 and has been actively and joyously pursuing spiritual growth ever since. Lili co-pastored Iglesia Cristiana in Oklahoma City alongside her husband, Victor, for almost ten years and was largely responsible for children’s and youth's Christian education there while participating in the praise and worship team, in addition to numerous other responsibilities. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Math Education from the University of Oklahoma and a current valid teaching certificate from both Oklahoma and Arkansas. She has a Master of Social Work degree with a specialty in administration and community planning, also from OU and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In addition to planting their new church, Iglesia Cristiana Aposento del Pastor - Shepherd's Inn Christian Church, Lili also coaches three new church planters in Cleveland, OH; Memphis, TN and Aurora, CO.
Victor and Lili have three grown children, Jennie, Elizabeth, and Matthew. Jennie has a BBA and is employed as a supervisor with U.S. Cellular in Oklahoma City; Elizabeth works for a modeling agency in Florida; and Matthew, while pursuing his Bachelor's degree from his mother's alma mater, The University of Oklahoma (Go Sooners!) in science education, works for Champs in Oklahoma City.
