What can I say? I love making jewelry! This has been my chosen full time job for the past six years. There is so much to learn and so much to try. I am completely self taught and snatch up every book and magazine and peruse as many jewelry making sites that I can to soak up new knowledge and techniques. I never know what I am going to make each day or how the piece will turn out until I am completely done with it. I am a bit of a perfectionist so some pieces may take a few tries until they are just the way I want them. I use only gemstones, freshwater pearls and sterling silver in my designs. I will do 14K gold fill pieces upon request. I love to frequent bead shows to hand pick the gems and pearls. Color is also a big thing with me. I find myself drawn to gemstones of bright colors or those reminescent of the beach as that is one of my most favorite places in the world! Stamping, sawing, oxidizing, filing, soldering, wirewrapping and stringing are some of the processes I use to create my jewelry. I select only top grade stones and hold myself to the highest standard of workmanship. If I wouldn't wear it then I don't put it out there.
On a personal note I am married to a wonderful man who has always supported my dreams and I have four, terrific children who love to pitch in and help when needed. During busy times you can find them putting labels in boxes and tissue in bags. I feel quite blessed and I thank each and every one of my customers a million times over! Remember, there is no such thing as too much jewelry!
