For over thirty six years, the Australian Sign and Graphics Association has been the representative body for the sign industry in Australia, and as such, plays an active role as a forum for the exchange of ideas, the development of training in the craft, and the dissemination of information and guidance to its many members. It covers the whole spectrum of sign-makers: neon, illuminated, handcrafted, technology, construction and design... in fact, signage in all its varieties. The Association has built an enviable reputation and trust with many government departments and other statutory organisations and local authorities, and acts as the official channel of communication between the industry and these bodies on matters of commercial, technical or economic policies affecting the sign industry.
In encouraging the highest standards from its members, The ASGA believes its policy of quality and commitment to the customer is not only in the best interests of its members, but also provides a safeguard for their clients.
For many years the Association has represented the industry, assisting with apprenticeship administration, approval of training establishments, training standards to enable apprenticeship training to continue under the direction whereby the students are well received by the industry.
