Jim Serwer has been a software developer for over 30 years. His experience goes back to the days of punched paper tape, punched cards, and nine-track tape. His very first program consisted of 12 sexadecimal instructions, written without benefit of an assembler or compiler, and keyed directly to punched paper tape.
Over the years Jim has worked with a wide variety of languages, operating systems, and disciplines. The disciplines have included scientific programming, accounting, embedded software, systems programming, device drivers and user applications.
Since 1993, the majority of work has been for Microsoft Windows. Languages include C/C++, Visual Basic, Java, Perl and Assembler.
