Who are we? And what the heck are we doing here?

John Williams and Bent Posejpal started Siam Dive n' Sail in 1996 after being with a company called Siam Diving Center for the previous eight years. Our company provides three services to our guests: One, through our web site and direct mailings, we provide information about Phuket and it's diving scene. Two, we offer Instructor Development Courses through various PADI 5-Star IDC Centers throughout the region. Third, we work with several high quality liveaboard and day-trip boats in Phuket and with our experience working here–as well as being on site in Phuket–we can place you on the boat that is best suited to your experience level, interests, and budget.

John Williams

John Williams, born in California, USA, began diving in 1975 at the age of 15 years. Since becoming a PADI Instructor in 1983, he has logged thousands of dives in lots of beautiful tropical locations around the world, including the Red Sea, Australia, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia. He settled here in Thailand in 1987 and refuses to leave. He's pretty stubborn.

John has worked as a diving instructor, a liveaboard divemaster, a photographer, a marketing manager, and was managing director of Siam Diving Center for seven years before he got mad at his partners and quit to form Siam Dive n' Sail with Bent.
