- Shutitdown was originally created in 1994, as a site with nothing but broken links to my favorite brit-pop bands and a couple of animated gifs thrown in for good measure. Since then the site has morphed a bit--I no longer link to my favorite bands, but the site is still very much a "me me me" site.
