John (Jack) M. Shank was a Mechanical Engineering graduate of Ohio State University and an Air Force Officer during World War II. He went on to work for A.O. Smith Company, Honeywell, and Donaldson in various sales and engineering positions prior founding Shank Power Products in 1955. By 1976 Shank Power Products expanded to its current five-man sales force.
