Description
Shakespeare Glass Company (formerly Gustafson Glass), was founded in 1983 and quickly evolved into a full service stained glass studio and teaching facility. Our work and technique consists of a blend of glass working methods dating back nearly 1,000 years, and our own unique giftware, window, and lamp design experience over the past 20 years.
We take great pride in producing stained glass works to our customers’ specifications and in assisting you with pieces we have already designed and produced.
Amid the Seasons of Stratford, Iowa, we have an old world heritage wrapped in a small Iowa farming community. Stratford was named by the railroad as they brought the rails through in 1881 and created a town named for Stratford, Pennsylvania, which in turn had been named for William Shakespeare’s home Stratford-upon-Avon in England. All the streets were named for English authors with Shakespeare Ave. running to the depot. This old world heritage lives on.
