Sermons Online is a production of NetMedia .org. Netmedia.org is not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the local Church body use Internet multimedia technolgies to preach the Word. Netmedia.org has been in operation since 1993, and during that time has helped publish thousands of hours of sermon audio and video on the web.
Our History
The Founder of Netmedia.org and Sermons Online is Dave Marney. Dave is a software designer by profession, and is the author of several digital content distribution and management systems. He wrote the first version of Sermons Online "way back when" (before the advent of the World Wide Web) simply as a way to organize the wonderful preaching of his own pastor, Dr. David Coffin, Jr., of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Va. Once streaming media became available over the Internet, Dave released the first public version of Sermons Online and has been continually improving it since then.
The current version of Sermons Online is the second major version of the software. The design goal of this version was to make the sermon publishing process entirely self-service. Doing a decent job of getting sermons on a web page involves a surprising number of software applications and utilities, and requires some fairly technical know-how. We have tried hard to pull all of this together into one of the easiest products to use on the market today, and we hope you enjoy using it.
