- The idea for this site came about when Pete, our founder, wanted to sell one of his cars. He always felt that he would get a pretty good response from a newspaper ad, but he also knew from experience that it's hard to describe a car in detail again and again over the phone to a caller. Wouldn't it be nice if the potential buyer could have already seen pictures of the car, and have detailed information about it before calling the seller. So he scanned some photos of his car and made a prototype web page. But he needed a SHORT Internet address that he could include in a newspaper classified ad - one that wouldn't take up two or more lines in the ad. That's how SeeMyWheels.Com was born.
