Description

SCCA Network Welcomes Its Newest Affiliate

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance welcomes Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon as the network’s second member institution. As a part of the membership agreement, Skagit Valley Hospital will provide local oncology resources for Skagit County much like the SCCA Network’s charter member, Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles, does as a regional cancer center for Jefferson and Clallam counties. Through the affiliation within the SCCA Network, the organizations will work together and commit to strengthen oncology resources for their respective communities.

“I am very excited about our joint efforts and believe the affiliation will be mutually beneficial to the organizations and to the patients of the area,” said Benjamin E. Greer, MD, SCCA Network Medical Director and professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington.

The alliance’s program to affiliate with community-based oncology programs recognizes the value in developing partnerships with local physicians to ultimately benefit patient care.
