- South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care (SDFMC) is the physician Peer Review Organization (PRO) and a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the Medicare program in South Dakota. SDFMC has worked to improve the quality of health care since 1973. In this role, SDFMC serves as a quality improvement facilitator and resource to health care professionals, offering experience in project development, design and implementation. SDFMC's primary areas of service are quality improvement and medical review.
