Description
Recently described by Edinburgh's Evening News as 'The Clapton of Piping' (June 2005), Donald continues to blaze a unique trail with his instrument. The year 2005 brought prestigious awards from the Arts Trust of Scotland, and the PSYBT. Donald was also the piper chosen to add Bagpipe and Celtic Whistle parts to the debut album from Caledon, the three Scottish Tenors (you might have heard his playing in the TV adverts for the album). Work is underway on Donald's second album, the debut album of his full 6 piece band 'Soss' - see http://www.myspace.com/sossband
His contribution to your event is likely to be more conventional (although don't be afraid to ask for the unusual!), featuring fresh interpretations of the best of traditional piping, along with a healthy sprinkling of his own music.
