SCHATTEN DESIGN has been manufacturing acoustic pickups for fifteen years and holds patents on some of the more innovative pickup and preamp designs on the market today. All of SCHATTEN DESIGN'S acoustic pickups, accessories and endpin jack preamps are hand built and assembled in our Kitchener Ontario Canada facility. From our humble beginnings in 1992, working out of the basement of a music store to our second move in four years to ever increasingly larger facilities, SCHATTEN DESIGN has become a world leader in acoustic pickup technology. SCHATTEN DESIGN produces over 40 original acoustic pickups and accessories, ranging from our original Dualie soundboard pickup through pickups for banjos, mandolins, violins, resophonics, ukuleles, archtops, folk instruments and the ever popular HFN series for steel string, classical and selmer guitars. Our latest innovations include the phantom powered Artist II endpin jack preamp, new volume controlled jack assemblies, and new pickups for bouzouki, archtop and mandolin. Thanks to an ever growing list of popular products, distributors and dealers worldwide have joined the SCHATTEN Team.
