- The goal of the Scanmetender project, which was started in April 2003 is to develop a free, multiplattform, multifunctional network scanner, which should give everyone a chance to protect his own PC of hacker attacks. In March 2006 the Scanmetender project was renamed to Scanmetender[Soft]. The main projects of Scanmetender[Soft] are Scanmetender Standard and Scanmetender Professional. Where in development of Scanmetender Standard our target is to develop a full-featured network scanner, the aim of Scanmetender Professional is to offer all users a professional security kit to protect their computer of viruses, hacker attacks, pings, worms, port scans and other dangers from outside of your PC. Most of our programs are developed for multiplattform use, we support almost all Microsoft(R) Windows(R) plattforms and the GNU/Linux plattform. Other operating systems like Mac OS X are planned for the future. Our programs do not cost anything, we are offering this all for free, so the Scanmetender[Soft] project must be called free project. Although our programs are not open source (open source projects are planned for the future), Scanmetender[Soft] offers all members to take part in the development of Scanmetender products trough the developer resource.
