High Country Outfitters is owned and operated by George T. Peter. An avid outdoorsman all his life, George has been a licensed guide for 9 years. George has a unique appreciation and knowledge for the backcountry and the animals that reside there. HCO is based out of Big Smoky, Idaho located 23 miles north of Fairfield, Idaho. The lodge is a mere hour and a half drive from three capable airports; Sun Valley, Boise, and Twin Falls, Idaho.
HCO prides itself in professional, customized hunts catering to any persons' preference-we build the trip around you. While you are here we also prepare a variety of meals described from "down-home cookin'" to "gourmet cuisine". Our palate-pleasing menu includes many traditional favorites as well as secret family recipes passed down through the generations. If you have special dietary needs, we are happy to accommodate. Diversity is an accepted challenge.
We are full time outfitters offering high quality service in the outdoor recreation business. Our camps are professional, clean, and always fun. We provide qualified, gentle stock to transport our customers to any destination. We have high standards for our camps, stock, hunts and licensed guides. Our guides are often requested back each year by returning clients. Our staffs' knowledge and attention to detail proves to be among the best in the business.
