Description
San Antonio Romance Authors (SARA) is chapter # 41 of Romance Writers of America (RWA)®, a national non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting excellence in the romance writing genre. RWA currently has over 8,000 members, including many best-selling authors in the romance and mass-market publishing industry. Organized in 1991, SARA has both published and unpublished members and is always happy to welcome new members.
Writing is often a lonely business, and joining SARA gives you the opportunity to mix with other writers who share similar interests in writing romantic fiction. Annual dues for SARA are $35, payable to San Antonio Romance Authors. Guests may attend three (3) SARA meetings before deciding to join SARA. Our bylaws state that any member of SARA must also be a member in good standing with national RWA, however new members have sixty (60) days to provide the SARA members chairperson with their RWA membership number.
SARA meets the third Wednesday of each month at Cha-Cha's located at 2026 Babcock Rd. The business meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., but you should arrive by 6:00 p.m. to allow enough time for ordering your meal.
