This site originally came about after a honeymoon in Cape Cod, a stack of photos, and a lot of spare time.
In general, we try to cover all the lights in a region that the website covers. However, not all the sections cover all the lights of the region. At present, the Lake Erie section covers only the Eastern end of the Lake. The Pacific Northwest area has some large gaps in Washington State.
A few notes on the photos - unless otherwise stated, we've taken all of them. Some have come out well, and some have not. We had the good fortune to visit some lights on beautiful days, and the misfortune to visit others in terrible days. Regardless of the conditions, we tried to photograph the area to at least capture a feel for the location. We make absolutely no claim to be professional photographers. If you would like to use the photos, please email us. (See the home page for the email address.) There is no charge - we only ask that you ask permission to use the photos and reference the website somehow if you do.
