Title

Rubber Chicken Cards :: Funny Animated Ecards

Description

It's not easy to produce the best electronic greeting cards in the industry, but somebody's gotta do it! Here's the talented and, ahem, modest team behind the funny ecards.

Steven Rotblatt, the guy who draws most of the characters on the site, is an award winning animator and illustrator from projects like "A Kid's Guide to the Smithsonian Museum" and "A Brief History of Time" (the CD of the Stephen Hawking Book). In addition, Steven has created hundreds of designs for one of the leading print greeting card companies. Currently, Steven is a Professor of Animation at California State Univerity at Los Angeles. Steven lives with his wife Kristin, daughter Corey, and son Max. Steve is the voice (to name a few) of Spitoon, Larry the Loungeman, Stinky Dog, the stupid French dummy in Jack and Jacques, the really stupid guy in the Breeder Brothers, and one of the really stupid bats.

Richard Zobel, Sadly, very sadly, Richard passed away on October 3rd, 2005. Rubber Chicken Cards is the combined child of Richard and Steven. We built this business with not two nickles rubbing together, working late, laughing for hours and hours, and having the kind of artistic joy that most people only dream of. Besides being a man of vast talents, he sang, he played many instruments, he wrote scripts, did animation, and played so many of these characters, from Cowboy Bob, to Eddie, to Dottie Rat, he was also a great friend who would listen for hours and hours to mere gibberish.
