Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month, 7 pm, at the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries building on Quail Drive off Perkins (behind Pennington Biomedical Center). Guest speakers cover a wide variety of topics. Prior to our meetings we offer instruction and casting. We always welcome non-members.
Fly tying sessions are held the 4th Monday of each month except December, 7 pm, at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries building on Quail Drive off Perkins (behind Pennington Biomedical Center). These sessions give members hands-on opportunities in tying flies as demonstrated by veteran tiers. Novices are welcome, and tying tools and materials are available for those wishing to learn the basics of fly tying.
