Wilmington North Carolina Bed and Breakfast near Cape Fear River and Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington NC - Rosehill Inn

Description

This beautiful house was built in 1848 by Henry Russell Savage, a prominent Wilmington businessman and banker. It was also the home of Henry Bacon Jr., architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Rosehill Inn has been lovingly restored as an elegant, yet comfortable, bed and breakfast with an eclectic mix of antiques, sumptuous fabrics, fine linens and beautiful gardens.

The grand foyer and parlor have been richly decorated in an elegant, yet warm and inviting manner. Step through the front entry of this Victorian mansion and see the unique Italian marble fireplace, ten foot tall oak pocket doors, and a magnificent pulpit staircase in quarter-sewn white oak.

Sink into one of the comfortable wing-back chairs and relax in the red gentlemen's parlor stocked with books and a variety of magazines. A game table awaits you for a challenging game of chess or cards.
