- Rosedale Attractions & Shows Inc. is a direct result of the Gaylin family’s involvement in the amusement business since 1928. The business has passed from generation to generation, beginning with Eastern Amusement Company, founded by Ann Gaylin, playing the streets of Baltimore City with two rides. When the company set up shop in Rosedale, MD the name was changed to Rosedale Amusement Company, operated by Ann and her husband Thomas Gaylin Sr. and expanded to eight rides. In 1966, Ann and Tom’s son, Thomas Jr, affectionately known as Tucker to everyone who knows him, took over. During this time the company grew to about 25 rides. In 1986 the name was again changed to Rosedale Attractions & Shows, with Tucker’s son Tom III continuing the tradition, as the fourth and fifth generations will direct operations in the future.
