Description
Rickshaw runners, Howard Gossack and Shane Book, founded Orient Express Rickshaws in 1990. The two started with eight units in Ottawa, Canada and managed the company with a hands on style, which is still employed with our Orient Express operation in Orlando.
Over the years, the company established itself in Ottawa with excellent customer service, an unparalleled safety record and a positive relationship with the local business community.
In 1995, the company manager and a runner created and organized the annual Charity Run. Its purpose was to raise funds and awareness for the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Other company accomplishments include awards of merit for student hiring from the federal government, growing it's fleet to 34 units in Ottawa and continuing to provide jobs for students wishing to work their way through school.
