ABOUT US
We are former federal Reform Party activists, disillusioned provincial Liberals and other non-aligned individuals, who believe in ethical, accountable and democratic people-first-politics.
We believe that we need a brand-new provincial political party in the Province of Ontario, which believes in a bottom-up policy development process, where the party leadership is bound by its grassroots members, unlike the traditional parties where policy is enforced by the leadership, their selected special-interest groups and the party’s elite backroom.
We started the Representative Party of Ontario in the Reform tradition of positive change, exemplified in our provincial history by leaders such as William Lyon Mackenzie’s Reform Party of Upper Canada in 1828, Ernest Charles Drury’s United Farmers of Ontario in 1914 and Agnes Campbell Macphail’s Cooperative Commonwealth Federation in 1943.
