Helping residents with interpretation of The City Plan and to examine restrictions relating to the new Rural and Environment Protected Areas. Including assisting in the retention of environmental and aesthetic values in Brookfield/Pullenvale/Pinjarra Hills/Anstead/Moggill areas within the confines of the new City plan.
Engaging in active dialogue with the City Council on environmental issues e.g. Mt Coot-tha Development Control Plan, Land for Wildlife, Voluntary Conservation Agreements.
Recent examples have been our successful objection to high-density housing on the Woodcrest Estate; our objection to high-density development of land at Greentrees Avenue; and our continuing input into achieving optimal environmental outcomes for residents who might be affected by the proposed hardrock quarry at Kholo Creek.
