About the Cookbook
This recipe collection has evolved from a text file of recipes on a computer disk to a small database I used in college, from a hand-made cookbook given to my mother on Mother's Day to a small run of 25 books I gave as Christmas gifts to my entire family. I then used it as a project site to learn HTML for a new job in Web design.
The cookbook has grown over the years to 337 recipes (and counting). It contains recipes my mom has served for as long as I can remember, dishes I made while learning to cook, food that has become a tradition in my own kitchen, and submissions from my family, my friends, and Internet readers.
Special thanks to my mom and dad for feeding me over the years and for buying me groceries at the commisary while I was in college, even when my list contained items like pesto and pine nuts and shrimp (none of which I knew the price of).
