The Managing Director Niclas Bergström, Fredrik Larsson, the Chief System Developer, and their colleagues had a vision to develop a tool that would make the “wonder of the Internet” accessible for dyslexics, people with English as a second language, people with learning disabilities, elderly with impaired vision, etc.
Niclas and Fredrik invited representatives from the different groups to find out how ReadSpeaker could meet the needs of these groups. A series of workshops were held where their vision was presented and the stakeholders gave their input for the future technical development.
In June 2001 the ReadSpeaker was launched to the public and the number of customer has been doubling every 6 month since then.
