Description

RastaWorld.com was originally started as a chat server chained to other major servers throughout the world back in 1996. This was when IRC servers were new and fun. A few years later, I closed down the chat server and decided to develop freeware and shareware software and gadgets.

Where did the name RastaMan and RastaWorld come from? If I had a dollar for each time this question came up, I would be a rich man! Back in the day of Commodore 64/128 personal computers, I designed demos and intros using Raster Graphics. Later I had people asking me to develop raster images for them and soon they began to call me RasterMan. During the BBS days, a guy from Canada kept calling me RastaMan instead of RasterMan and soon, everyone on BBS's were calling me RastaMan. So I kept the screen name and I have been dubbed with this name for over 15 years. And why RastaWorld.com? Well, given my screen name, it only seemed fitting to introduce my own world in cyberspace. Yes, I do enjoy reggae and a wide spectrum of other music interests as well.

Things cost money. Developer packages such as Delphi and Visual Studio cost $$$, as well as paying for hosting, ect. As my skills as a programmer increase, so does the funds to fuel the hobby and habit.
