The expertise of the founders of Rare-Treasures.com has come from them doing what they love – collecting! They started off small, picking up a piece here and a piece there while traveling. Before they knew it, they had a collection that had outgrown their ability to display it. They soon realized that there were others who could use their help in getting their collections going or in finding hard to find pieces.
Chris, a retired lawyer and his wife Aileen, a former executive at a financial institution, learned about different ethnic arts and crafts during their extensive travels to such exotic locations as the Caribbean, Mexico and South America. Both their contacts and experiences have helped give them an extensive understanding of the collecting industry. This experience is what they rely on to help their customers find that hard to find item, or that rare antique. They believe in introducing their customers to more than just one type of collectible.
