The following is a reprint of my Exodus ( www.exodus.to ) Bio... Randy Thomas is the Membership Director for Exodus International headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1976, Exodus is the largest evangelical organization dealing with homosexual issues in the world today and is a growing network of former homosexuals who are dedicated to sharing the transforming power of Jesus Christ to those affected by unwanted homosexuality. Randy is responsible for managing over 135 professional mental health and church-based member agencies across North America that make up the Exodus network and offer local support to individuals who want to leave homosexuality. Prior to coming to Exodus, Randy was the Executive Director of Living Hope — an Exodus member chapter in Dallas, Texas. Randy provided strategic vision and direction while managing the day-to-day details of the organization for seven years. During that time, he created the first online youth outreach initiative that now reaches young people all over the world with a message of hope and change. Randy’s own story as a child raised in an abusive home who grew to struggle with homosexuality at an early age allow him to understand and better communicate the hope of transformation to those struggling with unwanted same sex attractions. Randy travels extensively speaking and has shared his story with members of Congress, conservative leaders and in churches and colleges across the country. He has been interviewed by numerous television, radio and print outlets across North America and Europe. He has appeared in a full-page ad presented in The Los Angeles Times; his story was the subject of an award-winning article in The Dallas Morning News and featured in the book, The Good Life, written by bestselling author and former Watergate figure, Chuck Colson. Randy is actively involved in promoting policies that preserve and protect traditional marriage and the family. He testified before the Massachusetts state judiciary committee on the same-sex marriage issue and has lobbied members of Congress in favor of pro-marriage initiatives. Randy lives in Altamonte Springs, Florida and attends Grace Church.
