I reside in Cary, NC and my wife has me convinced it is a nice place to live for a while. I've moved around quite a bit including stints in Silicon Valley, Boston (MA), Oklahoma, and Manchester, England.
When it comes to technology, I'm religiously agnostic. I find it to be a rare skill that a technologist can talk intelligently about the pros and cons of different operating systems, programming languages, vendors, applications, etc. without being overly biased to one side. I certainly prefer some technologies over others, but I try to let requirements dictate solutions instead of my own personal preferences.
I'm interested in a variety of technologies, but have spent the most time with web development (since 1995), enterprise and network management (since 1997), and directory services (since 1999).
