It is clear that the current solutions offered for protection of racking uprights have several major drawbacks. These include not only the cost of the product but additionally the time and disruption to the operation of the warehouse during installation and replacement. In many ways the metal protectors (or boots) simply store more problems for the future. Not only do the protectors themselves become damaged but so do the tyres of the fork trucks, when they come into contact with the floor fixing bolts.
