WITH WATER IN MY EYES I moved to town, and the people came They took the brightness from my life
And the colour from my skies
They stole the pity from my eyes
And the fur from off my cat
They killed my pride and crippled my beliefs
Then buried my love and planted seeds of lust They used my body to poison my mind
And then they took my soul
And slowly crushed it dry
Now my skin grows thicker by the hour
My heart lies coated with envy
And I have learnt the power of hate Now they own my body and my mind
Yet I feel so very strange
For my hungry hollow shell
That wanders home at night
Sometimes sees the stars
And I must lean against the wall For I do not see so very well
With water in my eyes

- FAILURE
- Failure feeds like condensation
- With the clinging damp of hesitation
- When life itself seeks out revenge
- Like loss of trust in faithful friends
- And the bravest of men must fade in its gaze
- Where wisdom alone can kindle the blaze
- Of a God on high that makes men think
- As failures, we all in His image shrink
- Then faith and hope must surely shake
- The thought that God might make mistake
- We should then with despair driven
- Fall to our knees to be forgiven
- ...from the Poems of Pain Collection

Radicalrooney's Comments on RadicalPoetry.com
- Radicalrooney (frustrated) : although this is the only site with a genuine title of radical poetry both as a .com and also a .co.uk. it appears below sites like for example petes radical poetryS or the womens collective radical poetrySurely, on the basis of purity of name of site, regardless of content the requested site title should draw priority. 15:37, 1 March 2008 (PST)
