The Queensland Muslim times started in November 2004 with the hope of providing a voice for the Muslims in Queensland. This is a Non Profit organisation and run on advertising receipts and support from the community. We treat "UNITY" with utmost importance. The Queensland Muslim Times is a reflection of the most sincere commitment of its editorial board towards its sole objective of promoting unity and harmony amongst Muslims of Queensland. The board is firm on achieving its objective by focusing on issues which enable the creation of a genuine sense of harmony amongst Muslims. The Queensland Muslim Times therefore aims to implement a core strategy of avoiding all those aspects of conduct, both in news and views, which cause or may cause diversion and disharmony in the Umah.
The editorial board has realised that there is a need for an appropriate common platform for Muslims, for the purpose of presenting their positive contributions to the Umah and the State of Queensland. This need has been realised through the publication of the Queensland Muslim Times. Although this paper focuses on the unity of Muslims in Queensland and is intended as the voice of unity of Muslims, yet its contents remain strictly non-theological and void of any sect-ism. All sermon try articles that normally appear in a Muslim paper except these focusing on the unity of Muslims shall not appear in these columns. However, all Imams, Muslims Associations, Islamic Societies, Islamic Schools, Muslim Scholars and other information outlet within the parameters of the theme of unity of Muslims stated above
