Pyrenean Mountain Tours is a small company that was set up by two friends who were captivated by the grandeur of the mountains and the quality of the skiing when they first visited Barèges ten years ago. Since then we have explored further afield in the Pyrenees chain and built up the small team of professionals who organise the holidays described in this brochure.
There are no fixed departure dates, and no ‘minimum stays’ on a Pyrenean Mountain Tours holiday. You can fly, drive or travel by train and you can swap between skiing and snowboarding as you like. You don’t have to buy our holiday insurance and you won’t get "repped" into excursions once you arrive in the resort. We plan each of our holidays to suit the needs of individual customers - summer and winter.
Our holidays are designed to make maximum use of falling international travel costs. The Pyrenees are served by a number of the new ‘internet airlines’ which offer fares from as little as £9.50 return if you book your holiday well in advance. We will help you find the most economical flights and book your seats for you if you do not have an internet connection. For those with more time, rail, ferry and car travel are a relaxing way to start your holiday. Once in the resort itself our holidays are good value too. There are reductions for families with children under 16 and for people over 60 on ski hire, ski passes and ski lessons. We offer discounts on hotel accommodation for younger children and our apartments are sensibly priced to accommodate your group or family comfortably without a crush.
