We at the Sausalito Brewing Co. take brewing software very seriously. With over 7000 registered Homebrewers and over 500 registered Professional brewers (as of Sept. 1, 2003), ProMash has become the industry standard for brewing software, with good reason. Our core focus remains in the actual brewing functionality of the software and no other single piece of brewing software can match ProMash's comprehensive feature list and advanced calculations. And wherever possible, ProMash strictly adheres to the methods of prediction and analysis set forth by the American Society of Brewing Chemists. ProMash is the only brewing software application (that we know of) to follow these guidelines.

You won't find recipes for hot pretzels or funny beer name generators on our website, or in our software. What you will find is a company dedicated to delivering you the most advanced piece of brewing software available, quality information about usage of the software and the best support possible. We do one thing; brewing software. We take it very seriously.

ProMash was written by Jeffrey Donovan (founder of The Sausalito Brewing Co.), a brewer since 1991 and a software engineer since 1984. Mr. Donovan has both homebrewing and professional brewing experience. He is involved with many brewing organizations and movements (although mentioning them here would be inappropriate) and is an individual member of the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC).
