Creed and Karen Branson opened their version of take n' bake pizza, Porta's Pizza, in December of 2002. The Bransons always knew that quality and freshness was of utmost importance. Porta's features gourmet and specialty pizzas that one doesn't usually find in the typical red, white, and green pizza place. Other products include stuffed pizza, deep dish pizza, calzones, pasta dinners, dessert pizzas, and salads that one would typically find in an upscale Italian eatery.
Porta's sauce is made from plum (Roma) tomatoes that are picked and canned in less than 6 hours. Hand-tossed and stone-ground wheat dough is made fresh on site and has no artificial preservatives. The vegetables are cleaned and cut by hand daily. Quality and freshness is what Porta's is all about.
The Bransons selected the name Porta's because in Latin, porta is a door. Creed and Karen considered this serendipity since the Branson's prayer was that God would open the right door for their business!
