PORTÁŠ - výrobní družstvo Valašská Bystřice was established in 1947. Apart from production of small wooden products such as toys, wheelbarrows or rakes it is also the year when the production of wooden handles started. The latter being the only products which survived since that time.
In a strategic move to increase production of wooden handles, in the sixties of the last century we took over a plant in Vidče. By taking over the metal production and by building our plant in Prostřední Bečva, where our wooden production is based, we can now provide both wood and metal products.
Our production cooperative specializes in producing wooden handles, wooden steps and metal pallets. These activities are done throughout our five plants - two of them in Valašská Bystřice, in Vidče, in Prostřední Bečva and in Halenkov.
