Handcrafted Pieced and Quilted Tote Bags and Handbags
Description
As young girls, my four sisters and I were taught to sew by Mom, who was also our 4-H leader. Since then we have made everything from Halloween costumes to our wedding gowns. In recent years, quilting has become one of our passions.
It all started innocently enough when we decided to replace my sister's tote bag made in 4-H more than 20 years earlier. That bag had carried books through college, diapers for two children, and taken many trips to church loaded down with various class materials.
We didn't finish the bag that afternoon because like most craft enthusiast, we couldn't just replace - we had to improve! And so began the adventure of creating handcrafted quilted tote bags.
