About Pokemon Dream
Pokemon Dream is a Pokemon website that started around December of 1999 by a novice web designer, Mewtwo. It was started by a Pokemon fanatic for the love of Pokemon. Using Notepad and Microsoft Paint, Mewtwo designed the website. Ever since then, Pokemon Dream's visitors has been growing, and so has the amount of information. There are so many sections on Pokemon Dream, all of which are about Pokemon. I believe that everyone can find at least some information that'll please them. As time passes, PD will continue to grow, and provide more information than ever!
Pokemon Dream started when frames were popular among Pokemon sites, and when Pokemon websites were very popular. It was the end of 1999, and I just got a computer a few months ago before that. At first I started a Pokemon club at Yahoo! Clubs, referred by a friend. Then I saw some great sites, and decided to make one myself.
I learned HTML (the language used to make sites like Pokemon Dream) from a book, without any help. Without much practice, I got my first site up, called The Pokemon Center on Geocities. I got the name from a great Pokemon site that I used to visit. It used frames, and didn't look that good. I joined a few topsites, submitted my site to a few search engines, and worked very hard on the website. A lot of other webmasters who visited my site told me that I needed to use tables, not frames. That was the time everyone started to use tables. But I can't, I thought. I'll have to modify the menu bar every time I change something. I decided to ask someone what I should do, and they told me that to not modify each page, use SSI. I had no idea that time what it was, but I soon found out and got the hang of it. The bad thing is that Geocities doesn't support SSI, so I had to move.
