Esteban Zul (L) and Lalo Lopez (Center)are the Co-editors of the political satire rag POCHO Magazine, and are the comedic half-wits behind pocho.com and the troublesome sketch comedy troupe POCHO and their film & tv production company called--you guessed it, Garcia- POCHO Productions. They are based in Los Angeles, but they winter in East Los Angeles.
Lalo also draws editorial cartoons for Universal Press Syndicate and the LA Weekly, and is worrking on the new daily comic strip "la cucaracha" and for newspapers nationwide, including the LA Weekly, San Jose Metro, Boston globe, LA Times. He also once co-founded the infamous agit-prop sketch comedy troupe Chicano Secret Service. Esteban was the founder of Aztlan Nation, the chingon political Chicano rap group from the California Bay Area, and he also currently works with Smokin' Mirrors Productions shooting music videos and digital films.
Los Pochos have published the groundbreaking and windbreaking POCHO Magazine since 1989, cranking out a whopping 9 issues- #10 is due this century! FINALLY! Their award winning comedy videos and short films have been screened in King Taco restrooms all over Aztlan, Mexico and the Great Whitey North, Canada. Currently the guys have finished a comedy feature film screenplay for New Line Cinema called "Taco Truck...The Movie," a film for FOX involving Lowrriders and a new cartoon series for a really big TV company that you won't believe if we told you who it was. For reals. Just wait, okay? Sheesh!
