Description
To acquaint the mathematical community with the latest trends in mathematics, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Pure Mathematics Conferences were organized in Islamabad in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 respectively. In order to join the ranks of advanced nations, an appropriate strong base in fundamental research in mathematics is a necessary impetus for economic growth, technological advancement and scientific activity. The primary aim of organizing such conferences is to enhance the understanding of the targeted subject and to provide an opportunity to working mathematicians to exchange ideas with their colleagues at the national and international level.
The 7th International Pure Mathematics Conference 2006 is a sequel of six conferences which have been organized annually since 2000 in Islamabad. It will provide a stimulating opportunity to meet experts from various countries.
Research is a global activity and in order to keep abreast with the latest trends, one of the important steps is to arrange conferences at national and international levels that can provide impetus to our mathematicians for research in all areas of mathematics. In this way the innate talent in our mathematicians can be enhanced and the quality in research output can be improved considerably
