A company's history defines its ability to perform well into the future, regardless of how long, or short, that history is.
The name "Plexus" was chosen because the word "plexus" means "network; a combination of interlaced parts." It seemed an appropriate name given our desire to create a company based on many pieces working together.
The company began as a response to the overwhelming demand for independent contractors in the web design business. The two founders of the company both worked in the web design industry for three years before venturing into this effort. We took our first client on October 1, 1997, and today we boast over 150 clients. We have never taken a client on from an advertisement. Each of our clients was referred from another. Good business grows best from word of mouth.
