Title

Plaid Stallions : toy catalogs: Wishbooks: 70's memories : Vintage toy stores

Description

PlaidStallions is a site devoted to the popular culture of the 1970's primarily using but not limited to Department store catalogs, newspaper fliers and toy industry publications. The term "Plaid Stallion" is an expression of mockery used to describe people in terrible, almost always polyester outfits. The site is based off the daily blog and broken into two groups Fashion mockery and Toy Love. Every Friday, the site is updated with a new feature which is usually a toy catalog or occasionally, lingerie.

The webmaster has several obvious fascinations, including pictures of vintage toystores and mall appearances of people dressed like superheroes and star wars characters.

Plaidstallions is run by Brain Heiler, who also co-edits the MegoMuseum.com [1] website, the authority on all toys produced by Mego Corporation, it is considered a sister site to PlaidStallions and the two share a forum.
