Places OnLine annually recognizes web sites that best meet our criteria for listing sites. Here is the staff's selection for 2006.

This outstanding web site was created as a 2002 geography class project at Simon Fraser University by Doreen Aun, Jae Bun Kim, Nina Leung, Mike Konkin, and Kenneth (Kai) Wongas. It features the exploration, people, wildlife, flora, and landscape of the Canadian Arctic covering parts of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. The site focuses on features the Inuit settlement area and makes excellent use of maps.
