Title

Piha Beach Bed & Breakfast

Description

Piha lies approximately forty kilometers west of Auckland on the coastline of the Waitakere Ranges Centennial Memorial Park. Famous for it's surfing and long beach framed by rugged rocky cliffs and native bush of lush Fern trees, Kauri trees, Palm and Pohutakawa trees.

Lion Rock is the great icon of the west coast. Shaped like a crouching lion, this gigantic island separates north and south Piha beaches and was once a home of the Maori people of the Kawerau Iwi tribe.

There is an extensive network of walking and tramping tracks that weave through the Waitakere Ranges. Beautiful waterfalls such as the Kite Kite falls in Piha, dams, caves and lookouts are plentiful among these walks.
